Herb-Crusted Pork Chops with Apple Compote
Serves 2-4
Ingredients
- 4 Prime Range Fresh pork loin chops
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon fresh thyme leaves
- 1 egg, beaten
- 2 apples, peeled, cored, and sliced
- 1/4 cup water
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Olive oil, for frying
Instructions:

Mix breadcrumbs, parsley, thyme, salt, and pepper in a shallow dish.

Dip each pork chop into the beaten egg, then coat thoroughly with the breadcrumb mixture.

Heat a pan with olive oil over medium heat. Add the pork chops and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through.

For the apple compote, combine the apples, water, brown sugar, and cinnamon in a saucepan over medium heat. Cook until the apples are soft and the mixture has thickened, about 10 minutes.

Serve the pork chops hot, topped with the warm apple compote.
