Ingredients:
- 1 cup Prime Range Fresh Creamed Clover Honey
- ½ cup brown sugar (packed)
- ¼ cup Dijon mustard
- 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
- ½ teaspoon ground cloves
- ¼ teaspoon cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 Prime Range Fresh leg of ham (cooked, bone-in or boneless)
Instructions
Prepare the ham
Preheat your oven to 180°C. Place your ham on a rack in a roasting pan. Score the fat in a diamond pattern if it hasn’t been done already. This helps the glaze soak in.
Make the glaze
In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine the Creamed Clover Honey, brown sugar, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, ground cloves, and cinnamon. Stir occasionally until the sugar dissolves and the mixture begins to thicken slightly (about 5 minutes).
Glaze and bake
Brush a generous amount of the honey glaze all over the ham. Cover the ham loosely with foil and bake for about 1½ hours, brushing more glaze over the ham every 20 minutes. Remove the foil during the last 30 minutes for a nicely caramelised top.
Serve
Let the ham rest for 10–15 minutes before slicing. The honey glaze will form a beautiful sticky coating, enhancing the flavour of the juicy ham.
